Prime Contractor

For Prime Contractors, a Mechanics Lien is required to be filed within 90 days of the last day services or materials were provided on the project. A copy of the claim must be provided to the owner of the property within 15 days of filing the lien. Enforcement of the lien must take place within 1 year of the liens’ recording date.

Sub/Laborer

For Subcontractors and Laborers, a Mechanics Lien is required to be filed within 90 days of the last day services or materials were provided on the project.
